Week 1 - FITNESS TESTING


WHAT WE TEST:
CARDIOVASCULAR ENDURANCE

  • pacer
  • mile


 MUSCULAR STRENGTH & ENDURANCE 

  • plank
  • pull ups (optional)
  • flexed arm hang (optional, except for 7th grade) 
FLEXIBILITY
  • sit and reach
  • shoulder stretch
SPEED / AGILITY
  • shuttle run

FITNESS AWARDS:

GOLD AWARD - must achieve gold level in all of the 5 categories
  1. mile and/or pacer
  2. pull ups and/or flexed arm hang
  3. shoulder stretch and/or sit & reach
  4. shuttle run
  5. plank
GREEN AWARD - must achieve green or gold (or combination of both) in all 5 categories above

CHAMPION AWARD - show improvement from beginning to end of the school year
  • improve on mile, pacer, and plank
  • improve or maintain on sit & reach, shuttle run
  • pull ups and flexed arm hang tests not factored in to this award
