Wellness Week 7

Fitness Focus

Mondays - Aerobic Training (popsicle run)
Students participate in a timed (20 min.)distance run by completing a minimum number of laps.  Any extra laps are "banked", so when they earn a total of 10 additional laps, they are rewarded with a popsicle to enjoy in class.  

Tuesdays - Anaerobic Training (workouts)
- Functional Movements (learning proper form)
Students create proper technique when performing fitness-related skills to avoid injury and gain strength.

Wednesdays - Rest Days for FUN activities (no training but still fitness-related)

Thursdays - Aerobic Check-in (mile/pacer)
Students will track their progress for improvements in aerobic capacity on these days.  Training is part of their grade, so they will be working toward a goal.

Fridays - Anaerobic Training continued...
Tabata Workout "Plyos" kids worked on proper form for burpees, single unders, box jumps, and long jumps.
